Bloxwich

Another comfortable win for our second team as we out played the opposition for most of the game. We attacked dangerously and defended as a unit, which was impressive as we are building a strong impression of ourselves of getting promoted out of this division.

Me 6 =I felt I organised the defence pretty well, although making a mistake for the opposition to score.

Robot 8=Solid at the back and got on the score sheet with a rather dodgy goal, but they all count.

Duncan 8=Also as well solid at the back with some good tackles and some good passes down the line.

Adam 8= Good all round play today, accompanied by some great runs.

Adheem 9= An absolute peach of a goal today which almost broke the goal, with also some great passes and tackles Adeem seems certain to start next match in my opinion.

Kash 8= Influential as ever the Roy Keane of Hockey, could of gave him a nine but he gave me a bollucing for nothing so their you go, but never the less some great play by Mr Kash lets just hope for more!

Mr Smith 10 {MOTM}= An absolute splendid display by Smithy, great awareness, great passing and the addition of washing my Staffordshire Hoody all the makings of a STAR player.

Ricky 9= Great dribbling and passing from me old mucca, nearly clinched my vote for man of the match but never the less a great all round performance.

Shabbir 8.5= Good performance today going down the wing, with gutsy determination and instinct, he got himself on the score sheet.

Neil 8= I best be nice because If im not I will be dropped, a couple of great passes though and lots of communication it was a good day at the office for the captain, should of scored though and the news I am awful outfield which I know I am but you didn’t have to mock me about it, after I scored a quality goal against Aldridge, would have been the difference of being a 9.

Marc 8.5= Good performance still improving which is brilliant to see, things are looking bright.

Rob Umpire 8.5= Did well no real complaints from the team and me.

COME ON BOYS LETS ANNAYALTE (Annihilate? I think killing the other team is a bit extreme....Ed) THE NEXT TEAM ON SATURDAY, BRING IT ON I SAY.

Berkswell

Another solid and deserved win for our second team as we out played the opposition for most of the game with some breath taking short passes to kill off the opposition. We attacked dangerously and defended as a unit again, which was impressive as we are building a strong impression for title contenders this division.

Me 7 =I felt I organised the defence pretty well, also made a couple of good saves too, couple of sloppy goals let me down though.

Robot 9= Captain for a day, absolutely brilliant today was Mr Bot, bossed the defence throughout and scored an absolute plum of a flick, Great Work Today.

Duncan 8.5= Solid as ever, with some great passes down the line and also helped young sensation Danni out with his defensive duties.

Adam 8.5=Both Wingers were Solid today, also great passes, great runs, superb creativity, could have been a solid 10, but needed to take a touch some of the times he got hold of the ball as his first time pass wasn’t as accurate but still an exceptional display by the young man, also congratulations for getting engaged, I wish the very best to you and your fiancé.

Adheem 10=Well Adheem what can I say at this moment of time you are “Mr West Brom”, awesome display you swept up well you kept the defence in shape, and Wow what a finish from the short corner what a belter, keep it up mate.

Kash 9= Another good display from Mr Kash, influential as ever and some great runs and dribbling, Well Done.

Danni 8=Good performance today, some great skills just some advice though don’t try and take the player on all the time try and look for a pass and vary your skills as I doesn’t become to obvious, but on the whole a great performance, pushing for a place next week.

Ricky 10 {M.O.T.M”= Ricky my old mucca, you were brilliant today, you have the overall ability to be a superb player, this was shown today by the skills the talking and the dribbling everything, GREAT DISPLAY {MATCH WINNER}.

Shabbir 9= Great Goal, solid performance and a peach of a goal that even a striker would be proud of, and a terror through out.

Ben 8=Neat and tidy display by our new member, hopefully their more to come.

Marc 9=Well played today some good attacking and with the more experience from going to training on a Wednesday night you will be a formidable striker.

Rob Umpire 8.0 = Did well, some decisions I didn’t agree with, but that’s my own opinion, but never the less a good performance, cheers for the hat, but bribery wont get you anywhere with me sunny Jim.

Dad 9=Good performance today, really getting the hang of the umpiring business, still got to use those hand signals and a bit louder on the whistle and you will be fine, great decision to award the penalty flick.

COME ON BOYS ANOTHER GOOD DISPLAY TO BOOST OUR TITLE CREDENTIALS.

Looking forward next week to having back Captain Neil, Smithy and Mickey back in the squad hopefully, for the game against Market Drayton. Big Thank You to the Olympic with those excellent teas.

Market Drayton

A gutsy performance today from the second team as we just nicked 3 points, by the skins of our teeth.

Players Ratings out of 10

Me 7 =I felt I organised the defence pretty well, a mistake for the first goal but made up for it with a good save at the end.

Robot 8= A good display shown by robot today as he defended and communicated really well.

Duncan 7.5=A quiet game for Dunc today but when called upon did well.

Adam 8=Did well especially marking the young player from the opposition, also some good tackles but some miss time passes kept him at 8.

Adeem 8.5=Good performance again, linked with the defence and midfield well just a set back you didn’t score.

Smithy 10{M.O.T.M }=Great performance, great goal, great display, that’s all what I am going to say.

Danni 9=Another solid performance today, first name on the team sheet for next weeks game I recon.

Ricky 9.5 =Played extremely well, nearly as good as smithy but scuffed his shot after going round everyone.

Shabbir 10=Great Display and what a great finish to score the first goal all round super player at the moment.

Ben 8=Tidy display by our new member, hopefully their more to come.

Marc 8.5=Good game today, just unfortunate about the head ache.

Dad 8=Did ok today, no real decisions I could moan about

Pershore

A solid performance from the second team as we hung on to our goal lead and managed to get another 3 points.

Me 8= I organised the defence pretty well, when I was called upon I did well.

Robot 9=Goal today and a 100% record as captain.

Duncan 9=Some Good passes and tackling.

Adam 10=Great Performance with some good tackles passes and forward play.

Adeem 9=Good performance again linking well with the defence.

Lee Morton9= Did well with some good dribbling.

Danni 8=Didn’t get into the game that much and also went off as a sub.

Ricky 9.5 =Played well as his work rate was extremely good.

Shabbir 9=Another good display showing the second team how to keep the ball.

Ben 8=Tidy display by our new member, hopefully their more to come.

Marc 8.5=Good game today, unlucky with the disallowed goal.

Sam 8=Played ok as again he showed how to dribble.

Rob 9=Can’t moan.

Kidderminster

I felt it was unfair to cast a rating to each player, because I felt the team was not up to its best in this game. Even though the umpire lost us the game in my own opinion with some very biased decisions, also some of the Kiddi players were being very mouthy and heavy handed, we cannot blame it all on them, we didn’t win because on the day we didn’t come up with the goods.

Improvements for next week.

• To improve both our attacking and defending short corners.
• Attacking, by getting into a huddle before taking a short corner and sort out what I going on, perhaps if the captain of the next game can think up some strategies/tactics to put into practice, adding more variation you will score a lot more goals and far fewer mistakes.
• Defending, please boys stay on my line, I am not blaming anyone as it is an experience and we shall learn from it, but that is how those goals went in today. Also, for the people coming back into our half from the defending short corner can we have a player picked up and not everyone sticking to one particular side, for all of us to be spread out and be focused on the job in hand.
• Always look for a person in space instead of trying to go round/through the whole team and take the glory, if you can, fine, but don’t miss and make a tit out of yourself.
• To see some movement in free hit situations.
• Instead of me, Robot and Kash, lets hear some talking because it was extremely quiet, with communication we can interpret what is happening around us.
• To stop being too honest and try and win summat.
• I also put my hands up, trying not to be too annoyed with the umpires decisions and to not go and have a paddy after the game.

Look boys, I am not giving you the fourth degree, it is an attempt to give some advice that will benefit all of us, because this team should not be in this division, as we are too good for it. If we can improve on all these aspects we will be back on track with our promotion charge.

Thanks to Rob for umpiring and having a good game at that, unlike the other one.

Yardley

West Bromwich 2nd Team came back from their pre-season defeat with a 3-0 win against Yardley.

Me 8= Didn’t do anything wrong, as I didn’t have a save really to make.

Ben 9= Strong, agile and also communicated well, kept the defence in line.

Adam 8.5=Good performance with some good passes.

Duncan 8.5=Solid Performance with some good passes and tackling.

Smithy 9= Played well, with some great dribbles into the oppositions half.

Kash 9=Commanding as ever and kept the midfield in line.

Ricky 9=Another good performance, with some key stops and passes which led to assists.

Danni 10 {Motm}=Brilliant performance as he showed power, strength, speed and pinpoint shooting and crosses, that lead to him being man of the match.

Adeem 9=Sat in the defensive midfield position rather well.

Shabbir8.5= Good passes and well communicated throughout the match.

Mark 9= Good goal, improving still and I believe that it is 5 for the season.

Neil 1.5= He knows why. It will get lower if he does it again.

*To add insult to injury you would have had a 8.5 if it wasn’t for that stupid and idiotic incident but yes I accept your apology and I know it will never happen again, you know it makes sense!!! hahahaha.

Dad 8= Did well.

Tamworth

West Bromwich 2nd Team had a difficult trip to promotion contenders Tamworth, in the nicest way I can describe Tamworth “Very aggressive, over physical at times and extremely mouthy towards both umpires”. Although we drew the game 2-2 we hadca great chance at the end where Shabbir decided to flick the ball over the keeper but screwed it up BIG TIME.

Me 8.5=Made some good saves, but need to be more aggresive.

Ben 8=Did o.k. with some good tackles and good communication but went onto some suicidal runs as you came out of position far to many times.

Adeem 8.5=Good performance with some good passes and good variety of shots.

Duncan 9{MOTM}= Solid Performance with some good passes and tackling.

Wardy 8.5= Played well, with some good tackles and passes.

Kash 8=Commanding as ever and kept the midfield in line, although did wander in the second half though.

Ricky 8=Some good all round passes and dribbles into the oppositions half.

Danni 9=Good performance in the second half with some good passes, and all round good forward play.

Shabbir 7.9= Great goal, great first half but missed an absolute sitter in the second half.

Mark 8.5= Did well as you did some good runs and it is showing now that you are improving, well done for injuring their keeper not so good with the injury you gave me.

Neil 8.5= Commanded the forward line very well.

Rob 8= Hard game to umpire, but did well.

I hope you all like my new feature to my match report. Well then I thought being as I did G.C.S.E Food and got an A* in my coursework and a B overall I feel I am the best person to cast the vote for this week {Although next time I will ask you lot for the vote too}. Well Tamworth’s tea was o.k. a change to the usual sausage and chips, I will brand this as a 4 rating as even though I had loads and loads of the stuff I thought the melted cheese with the potato with tomato in it was tasty but they let them selves down on the sausages as for my liking they should have been kept in the grill for an extra 5 minutes.

I thought you would all like to know my knee is on the mend, just a bit of swelling, I know for one, Neil F would be sweating on my fitness as I know I am a pivotal part of the second team lol. Just to let you know I will be coming to play bingo on Tuesday all being well and definitely going to training on Saturday.

Next weeks game at home against Ludlow is a 3 o clock kick off.

Barlaston

Another draw for the Stags, as we were far off our best this time.  Good goals from Captain Neil Fellows was the only positive outcome from the game, except for brief periods we started playing like Arsenal F.C, with some breathtaking one touch Hockey.  Although we were let down by 2 stupid team errors, which presented Barlastan with a point.  We could put this game down being unlucky, we had 2 clear goals disallowed, but, let us not blame the umpires for our down fall as I felt both had a reasonably good game.  Please take note, at the end of the game I overheard a couple of Barlaston players saying “……to say they’re second in the league, what a bunch of pushovers”.  Boys our next game is at Bromsgrove and my only advice is to show what we are made of and put in a good performance so that the comments from the Barlaston players can be stuck up their own a**** as far as I am concerned, as we may show the promotion contenders what we really are made of.  Big thank you to the third team players who came in to help us as we had a weakened side.

I have decided to not do the Players ratings as I quote from a certain Mr Rob Clarke, “You know what’s the problem is about your match reports? They’re too long”. Well I would like to here from anyone who reads my reports at training or at the game at Bromsgrove, to see if you find this comment correct or incorrect. If correct, please tell me, but if you find this comment incorrect please email Mr Clarke @ {r.clarke@wintech-group.co.uk}and tell him to “Shut up and start focussing on his umpiring than criticising Oli’s match report” YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE, I dow know you just can’t please him can ya.

Me 9=Made some good saves and with those nice red puma trainers should easy get a ten next week, lol.

Adam 8.5=Did well with great defending as he man marked their best striker out of the game.

Adeem 8.5=Good performance with some good passes and good variety of shots and mopped up the play when needed.

Duncan 10 = Solid Performance with some good passes and tackling, also quality come back to respond to your brothers criticism about my trainers.

Wardy 8.5= Played well, with some good tackles and passes.

Kash 8.5=Commanding as ever and kept the midfield in line {New Patrick Viera, bit too aggressive though}.

Ricky 9.5=Some good all round passes and dribbles into the oppositions half.
 
Danni 10 {M.O.T.M.}= Superstar performance from our new Joaquin of Hockey {If you don’t know him, he is an up and coming star in La liga}

Shabbir 8.5= He reminds me of a Kanu absolutely s*** one game and criticises me and the next game he plays absolutely superb the next} Great goal, I shall brand this as “Goal of the Day”}

Mark 8.5= Did well as you did some good runs, brilliant goal as you did shove Bal out the way as he did all the work.

Neil 5= That’s for sitting on your arse and doing nothing, while criticising my absolutely beautiful trainers.

Lee 8= Did a couple of good runs and scored a good goal.

Bally10= The Paul Compton replacement and could be slightly a bit better in my opinion, quality dribbling ability though.

Rob 9= No Complaints.

Berkswell

West Bromwich 2nd Team had a tricky away day over in Warwick.  It was a scrappy game as both teams rued missed chances. I felt it was the best result possible. 

Although just two things to think about for the game against Bromsgrove, these being:

• To sort out what is going on in the attacking short corner routine, {Perhaps it maybe possible to go in a huddle or to sort out a strategy before the game.
• To create more movement, this was shown in the game by us being too static as the opposition easily marked us, however, if we created, this will cause problems towards the opposition teams.

  Me 10 (M.O.T.M)= Felt I played well, as I made some good saves.

Adam 8.0= Solid at the back as not much came through to me.

Adeem 8.5= Played well as he mopped up quite well.

Duncan 8.5 = Solid Performance with some good passes and tackling.

Ben 7.5= Didn’t do too badly as he tackled well but had a consistency of walking off.

Kash 9.0=Commanding as ever and kept the midfield in place.

Ricky 8.75=Some good all round passes, with some exceptional tackles and dribbles into the oppositions half.
 
Danni 8.5= Did well on the wing with some good tackles.

Shabbir 9.1= Mr Drogba did well, but needs to improve his fitness. {Great goal, I shall brand this as “Goal of the Day”}

Mark 8.0= Did well as you did some good runs.

Neil 8.9= Played well WHEN YOU WERE ON THE PITCH, good tracking back, while communicated well.

Bally9= The only man upfront and with some exceptional dribbles and shots, unlucky to score though.

Rob 9.5= No Complaints, did really well.

I have decided through great consideration to give the teas we had from Berkswell a mark of 3 as I felt the pizzas were S*** and the fries were too small.  It would have been a 4 but we had to wait for nearly an hour to get the food.  In my opinion it would only took 10 minutes if you actually did it properly or even less if you went down Macdonalds as it is about the same standard of food, also I was still hungry so I had to have a Chinese {Chicken Tikka and chips to be precise}, to the staff at this pub you need to book your act together if I was the boss.

Captain Neil Fellows actually likes my Cameroonian trainers and also does Kash {well I can add them onto my prolific fan club}.

Bromsgrove

West Bromwich 2nd Team had a tricky away task of trying to defeat top of the table Bromsgrove.  West Brom never looked like winning the game as in many cases they operated far too defensively and this gave the advantage to Bromsgrove as they were indeed far more superior in both possession and shots on target, but the main key points were that from the sixteen yard hit outs their was little to any movement, while West Brom however do have a case for unsporting behaviour from the Bromsgrove Umpire as he handed more than 10 short corners to his team and gave West Bromwich 0, while he could of give a possible penalty flick as Ricky had his shot blocked by a foot off the line.  However The Stags were valiant in defending and never gave up, but to be fair Bromsgrove deserved all 3 points.

Adeem 7= Played well as he mopped up very well.

Duncan 7 = Solid Performance with some good passes and tackling.

Ben 7.5 {M.O.T.M}= Did well as he made some crucial tackles.

Kash 7=Very quiet today but did do his job to some certainty.

Ricky 7.3=Played well but was isolated in the middle.
 
Danni 7= Very quiet game also, but made some good tackles.

Shabbir 7.4= Some good runs but played far too defensively.

Mark 7= Did well as he did some good tackles in defence.

Neil 7.35= Didn’t do too badly as he made some good passes but again was quiet and isolated a points.

Bally7.34= The only man upfront and with some exceptional dribbles, although needs to improve his shooting

Rob 8= No real complaints.
 
I am expecting many of the second team to try and make training on Wednesday, as I feel we need it so we can get back into the swing of things.

Market Drayton

West Bromwich 2nd Team today were absolutely the Dogs B**** today as they easily coasted to a 4-1 victory, inspired by Captain Neil Fellows to try and regain second spot from Berkswell.

Me 8= Had very little to do, I felt except for the short corner incident, I did well.

Adam 9= Solid at the back and made some great tackles.

Adeem 9=Good performance with some good passes.

Duncan 9 = Great all round performance, Dunc is now showing the consistency of being a valuable part of the second team {To be fair you always were lol}.

Wardy 9.2= Played well, with some good mopping up play.

Kash 10= Inspirational, aggressive and is simply absolutely brilliant.

Ricky 9.5=Played well as he was far more attacking and was less independent like last week.
 
Danni 10 {M.O.T.M.}= Good performance AGAIN, with some great runs. {We now know who the Captains going to vote for Player of the Season, I don’t blame him either}.

Shabbir 9.89= Played well, as your fitness has improved greatly than last weeks games, Great goal, I shall brand this as “Goal of the Day”.

Mark 9= Did well and got on the score sheet.

Neil 10= Good two goals today, an all round captains performance.

Ben 9= Did a couple of good tackles, as he is cementing a place as left back.

Smithy 10= Quality performance as it seems the second team has missed Mr Smiths match winning performances.

Rob 8= No Complaints.
Dad 8= No Complaints.

On behalf of the second team and myself I would like to send my apologies to Rob as even though in some views he might have got the wrong decision, but we shouldn’t of reacted in the manner we did, so Rob on behalf of the team, sorry mate.
