THE 2012 BCJAC!!!!!! DATES AND VENUE NOW CONFIRMED!!

The Black Country Hockey Development Group has been formed with members from clubs within the 4 boroughs who make up the Black country. These are Sandwell, Dudley, Walsal and Wolverhampton. The group meet regualrly to organise dates, ventures and coaching sessions for the Black Country Junior Development Centre (BCJAC).

The centre this year will be held at Sandwell Academy and George Salter Colliegate pitches due to the need for two pitches. But it is intended to travel around the 4 boroughs when faciliities become avaialble. The childrem at the borough JDC's (Sandwell, Dudley and Wolverhampton) will be invited to attend the BCJAC trials held in January and February of the following year after JDC completion. Children who are assessed, as of the right standard to enter the BCJAC, will be invited back to join the BCJAC sqaud and again receive a minimum of 16 hours training and coaching.

The next level is the JRPC (Junior Regional Performace Centres), these are on a midlands region scale and usually take place in June/July. Coaches need to assess that your child has reached the required standard before being put forward. The following level is HPAC. this is where England scouts assess the children.

The whole of the single system is meant to improve your chulds skills, fitness and ability to avoid injury, enjoy their hockey and feel part of a team!! please be aware that not everyone will achieve every level but that does notreflect badly on your children. Every level is a fantastic level of achievement and your child can start the system again the following year, learning from the previuos years experiences and feedback.

Week 1 - JAN 15th 2012 - Trials - fee - £5

Week 2 - JAN 22nd 2012 - fee for all 3 remaining sessions - £35 block booking.

Week 3 - JAN 29th 2012 - fee for two remaining sessions

Week 4 - FEB 5th 2012 - fee for one remaining training session

Tournment and competition days - No charge as part of complete fee.
