The England Hockey Single system has been incorporated for many years.

The system is like a ladder with your children starting at the bottom rung and progressing through the system as thier ability and skills allows and improves.

The Sandwell Junior Development Centre (Sandwell JDC) is the second rung after the first being the Clubs Junior training on Saturdays and being a club member.

The club recommend your children to attend a trials session at the Sandwell JDC usually in September or October. A squad of 20 per age group are chosen and invited back to join the Sandwell JDC squad. They will complete a minimum of 16 hours training and will learn new skills in preparation of the next level - the BCJAC (please refer to Black Country HDG (JAC) section for more details).

The Sandwell Junior Development Centre (SJDC) is hled at the Sandwell Academy.

The Sandwell HDG is a joint venture between West Bromwich HC and Wednesbury HC. The centre is organised each year by both clubs and is self funded.

Children from all over the Sandwell Borough are invited, of all abilities, etc. We can also offer advise on Hockey clubs to join in your area.
