Information for Parents
Badgers training sessions take place on a Saturday morning between 9:00-10:15 at Aston University Recreation Centre. Please arrive with enough time for your child to prepare themselves and take part in the warm up, thus allowing maximum training time.
All parents and guardians are welcome to stay and spectate during all of our sessions, however parents of children under the age of 8 are expected to remain at the pitch side throughout the session. All spectators need to adhere to our spectators code of conduct and show respect to all participants.
Parents should ensure that their children are properly equipped for each session and all children, regardless of age, must be equipped with the following:
- Weather appropriate sports clothing
- Gum shield (compulsory for training and matches)
- Shin pads (compulsory for training and matches)
- Goalkeeper kit (if your child plays in goal)
- Water bottle
A full playing kit is provided to new players upon becoming a full-paying member. Replacement kit and spares can be purchased from the club at very reasonable rates, this includes hoodies, undershirts and training jackets.
We can provide hockey sticks for those wishing to try the sport before committing to any expenditure although inexpensive sticks are available from most sports shops.
The development secretary and club coaches are always looking for ways of improving the Badgers so please direct any suggestions you may have to Steve Bavington - we would love to hear from you.
New members are welcomed to the club throughout the year. Please follow the link below to register your child. Details of where to be and what to bring will be communicated to you nearer the start of the season. If you have any problems registering your child please contact Steve Bavington (Youth Development Officer).
