3rd XI Start the season with a win.

West Brom opened the league season with a 2-1 victory at home to North Stafford. The home side started off strongly and were unfortunate not to put away a handful of early chances.

With the scores still level North Staffs were given an opportunity to take the lead when the umpires awarded the visitors a penalty flick. However, Jules Frost kept his clean sheet intact with an instinctive save, palming the shot away to his left. Wez Price then opened the scoring with Jack Reeves finding he net shortly after, taking the home side into half team with a two goal advantage.

In the second half West Brom found themselves sitting deep and inviting heavy pressure from the North Staffs’ forwards. Despite a solid defensive performance and some key saves from Jules, the visitors eventually found the net. Frustrations ran high but the home side managed to run down the clock and take all three points from what was a competitive game.
