15th Sept 2018: Home team Barford played with a strong 1st team and as they play a higher standard of league hockey we were expected to take a heavy beating. From 3-0 down at half time, our young squad battled to a 5-2 defeat.

29 Sept 2018: A tough first away game of the season for the young guns of West Bromwich vs Walsall & Aldridge 1st. Coming into the season with the youngest team in living memory. There is a quiet confidence about this team. Very focused and a steely grittiness.

A Battling Second XI lose out at Bromsgrove
The Second XI were away to a strong Bromsgrove side, matching them goal for goal until the final five minutes of the match, bringing to an end their unbeaten run of three wins in the friendlies at the start of the season.
